I love this man. He is a sportsman. He did not care anything about the antics of Bobby Fischer and wanted to play him no matter what. He could have left, but he stayed and he fought like a true champion until the end.

Larry Evans you are missed



One of the most inspirational figures in chess for me and quite a few others was former US champion Larry Evans. I stepped away from the chess world completely for about 6 or 7 years focusing instead on my magician life. I had no idea Larry had died.

 When I looked him up to send him another thank you for the advice he gave me 10 years ago I found out he passed in 2010. I have been in tears off and on for a few hours. Mr. Evans you will be missed sir.
